Giving Back
At Kuras Dental Health Associates, we know that without the continuous support of our community, we would not be in the position we are today. To show our gratitude, we are committed to reaching more of our community and beyond with dental health education and care.
Some of our Community Involvement includes:
- Presentations and education at local elementary schools.
- Donations of toothbrushes and dental supplies to local churches and shelters.
- A 2015 mission trip to San Jose, Costa Rica. We were able to provide much needed dental care to the locals, oral health information to children living in group homes, and building projects on the site: The Abraham Project.

Dr. Steven Moss
Dentist
Dr. Steven M. Moss graduated in 1990 from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He spent three years doing extensive research at the University of Michigan in biomaterials. He then spent three years at Sinai Hospital working in the Oral Surgery Department. Dr. Moss was published in the Journal of Operative Dentistry, and has taught CEREC dentistry locally for the past ten years and performed over 15,000 of these restorations.
Dr. Moss believes in providing his patients with his concept of whole life dentistry. It is his philosophy of striving to do what the patient wants and needs, and being able to do it right every time while being as conservative as possible.
Dr. Mayer Eckstein
Dentist
Dr. Mayer is a graduate from Rutgers School of Dentistry, completing his general practice residency at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is a New Hempstead, New York native, moving to Michigan to pursue his career and be close to family in 2018.
Dr. Mayer loves the rewarding experience of returning a patient's smile and self confidence through his dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Mayer enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, good food and learning about other cultures.
Dr. Jay Wayntraub
Dentist
Dr. Jay is a Michigan native who first attended Wayne State University then the University of Detroit Mercy to obtain his dental degree. He is passionate about dentistry because he has always enjoyed fixing things. He loves being able to combine that passion with healthcare, all while helping others feel their best. He strives to make each patient feel comfortable and relaxed during their time in his chair.
When not focusing on dentistry, Dr. Jay enjoys time at home with his two children and wife, Rachel. He also enjoys playing flag football, listening to podcasts, and reading fantasy novels.
Dr. Tu-Quynh Vu
Dentist
Dr. Vu attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County then the University of Detroit Mercy where she earned her dental degree. She enjoys dentistry because it is a combination of both of her passions: Science and Art. She loves how dentistry offers this versatility in the goal of serving patients. Her ability to build relationships and help people is what brings her the most joy in her profession.
In her free time, Dr. Vu enjoys nature, traveling, discovering new foods and cultures as well as spending time with her family and friends.
LeAnn
Office Manager
LeAnn joined our team in June of 2017. She's an Eagle Lake, Florida native, where she attended Lake Region High School. She loves the teamwork-centric atmosphere at Kuras Dental.
When not streamlining your dental experience, LeAnn enjoys spending her time with friends and family.
Caitlin
Dental Hygienist Lead
Caitlin is a native of Monroe and has been with Kuras Dental Health Associates since 2011. She is proud to be part of such a talented, knowledgeable team. Caitlin truly enjoys coming to work every day so that she can help her patients achieve the best oral health possible.
A graduate of Ferris State University, Caitlin is also certified in the use of nitrous oxide and local anesthetic. When she’s not busy helping her patients, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her family and their Silver Labrador, traveling with in her camper , the outdoors, going to ND football games and interior design.
Liz
Dental Hygienist
Liz is a great addition to our Dental Hygiene team, joining us in the summer of 2020. She attended Wayne County Community College District and is a graduate from the University of Detroit's Dental Hygiene Program. Liz loves what she does because Dental Hygiene is s a skilled trait that she enjoys and she loves working with her hands. She comes to Kuras Dental with over 14 years of experience and certifications in Nirtous Oxide/Oxygen as well as Local Anesthesia administration.
Liz was born in Oklahoma but has lived all over the US including Texas, Georgia and Michigan, where she spent several years growing up. She also spent some time living in Wiesbaden and Illesheim, Germany. When Liz is not working or spending time with her identical, mirror-image twin daughters, she enjoys cooking, playing games, sunbathing, boating, kayaking, snowmobiling, exercising, gardening, property hunting, wine tasting and taking long drives or road trips.
Angie
Chief Financial Officer
Angie is a member of our insurance department and joined our team in July of 2020. Angie loves interacting with patients and enjoys working in a fun environment.
When Angie is not at her desk, she likes to garden, go camping and vacation in Cancun.
Ashleigh
Front Desk Manager
Ashleigh joined our Front Desk team in April 2021. She loves helping people, learning new things and being a part of a team that works together.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She also likes to take pictures, be outdoors and take vacations.
Amber
Front Desk Associate
Amber joined our team in February of 2018. A Monroe native, Amber spent twenty years working in the health field before joining our team.
What Amber loves most about being part of the Kuras Dental team is helping people and that her coworkers are awesome to work with. In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking care of her two pet goats.
